Construction Repairs for Mathilda Avenue Bridge Northbound US-101 in Sunnyvale (3/12/10 10:00 a.m.)
Caltrans is scheduled to perform repairs on the Mathilda Avenue overcrossing in Sunnyvale. Northbound Hwy 101 will be subject to full weeknight closures between March 14 and May 28, 2010, weather permitting. The full freeway closures will begin at midnight, and re-open at 4:00am, Monday through Thursday; on Fridays, full closures will begin at 11:00pm and re-open at 6:00am Saturday morning, and on Sundays, full closures will begin at 9:00pm and re-open at 4:00am, Monday morning. Various lane and ramp closures will occur both day and night until construction is completed. Detour signs are in place to assist motorists traveling through the construction areas.

MAJOR CONSTRUCTION AND EVENTS

I-780 Overnight Full Freeway Closures in Vallejo (3/12/10 10:02 a.m.)
Caltrans has planned full freeway closures for both eastbound and westbound I-780 in Vallejo and are scheduled Monday through Thursday overnights, March 15 through March 18, from 11:00pm to 4:00am, weather permitting. Only one direction each night will be fully closed between Glen Cove Rd and Columbus Pkwy. Various lane and ramp closures will also be in effect during these closures. Motorists are advised to expect delays and to take alternate routes during these closures.

UPDATE: I-80 Eastbound HOV Lane Extension Project in Contra Costa County (3/12/10 10:01 a.m.)
Caltrans continues construction on the I-80 eastbound High Occupancy Vehicle project from west of the CA-4 interchange in Hercules to east of the Cummings Skyway overcrossing. On April 5, 2010, Caltrans will close the eastbound and westbound Hwy 4 connector ramps to eastbound I-80, and the Hwy 4 on ramp to eastbound I-80. Also, the eastbound I-80 on ramp to Hwy 4 will remain closed for as least six months. Motorists can expect lane shifts, temporary ramp closures and detours during the course of the project. Doyle Drive Replacement Project in San Francisco (3/12/10 10:01 a.m.)
The northbound Park Presidio/CA-1 (from 19th Avenue) off-ramp to southbound Doyle Drive/US-101 is closed through 2011. The northbound US-101 connector ramp to southbound CA-1 is closed through 2013. These closures are part of the long term Doyle Drive Replacement Project. The official detours are marked with signage and direct drivers to Geary Blvd, Van Ness Avenue and Lombard Street. Traffic Shift in Place on Southbound US-101 in Rohnert Park (3/12/10 10:00 a.m.)
Caltrans will initiate a traffic shift on Thursday morning, March 11 on southbound US-101 before the Wilfred Avenue/Golf Course Drive interchange. The far right lane will become a combination exit and through lane. The southbound HOV lane will be closed past Todd Road. Motorists should be prepared to merge to the right earlier than usual, and to expect delays while drivers adjust to the changed roadway. Click here for more information.

92/880 Reconstruction Project (3/12/10 9:59 a.m.)
Caltrans continues to rebuild the interchange at the junction of CA-92 and I-880 in Hayward. Motorists can expect lane, ramp and full freeway closures overnights through the duration of this project that is scheduled into 2012. Click here

US-101 Auxiliary Lane Widening Project in San Mateo (3/12/10 9:58 a.m.)
The Highway 101 Auxiliary Lane Widening project in San Mateo continues. The northbound Rollins Road to eastbound Broadway right lane will be closed until March 15. Work remaining includes further construction on bicycle/pedestrian overcrossings, sound walls and retaining walls. Completion of the Auxiliary Lane Widening project is scheduled for the spring of 2011. Click here for more information.

Yerba Buena Island Ramp Construction (3/12/10 9:57 a.m.)
The Yerba Buena Island eastbound right-hand side off ramp (east of the Yerba Buena Island Tunnel) remains closed for construction until the Bay Bridge project is complete in 2013.
